This print was inspired by Swanndri's famous red and blue bush shirts. One thing about these shirts when I was travelling the world is people always knew it was from Aotearoa the same way when people see the haka being done. This print pays homage and represents a subculture that has stood the test of time from the South Island integrated with our Māori culture using our tāniko patterns to weave them both together.
